In this role, you will be responsible not only for cloud infrastructure and automation but also for supporting the hosting and operational readiness of enterprise data platform solutions (such as Snowflake, Databricks or MS Fabric)
You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and partners to ensure that infrastructure solutions are robust, compliant, financially optimized, and aligned with business objectives. Your focus will be on cloud architecture, operations, and FinOps related to infrastructure and platform hosting.
Missions & Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure architectures on AWS and Azure, with a focus on scalability, security, automation, and cost optimization.
- Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments, integrating network, IAM, and governance components.
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory frameworks, and cloud governance policies.
Platform Hosting & Operations
- Design and manage infrastructure to host data platforms and related analytics services.
- Support platform teams by ensuring availability, resilience, and secure connectivity (e.g., private link, VNet/VPC peering).
- Align infrastructure with platform-specific requirements, such as compute scaling, storage, identity integration, and data access controls.
- Work with internal teams to enforce platform SLAs, audit requirements, and operational readiness.
Cloud Cost Optimization & FinOps
- Monitor cloud consumption and lead initiatives to optimize cloud spend across infrastructure and platform hosting.
- Implement FinOps best practices, enabling forecasting, budgeting, and chargeback/showback models.
- Use tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and third-party solutions to provide cost visibility and reporting.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and technical stakeholders to align cloud usage with business strategy.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work directly with clients to gather requirements and translate them into actionable cloud architecture designs.
- Present architecture proposals and cloud strategies that balance technical robustness and financial efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on infrastructure modernization, migration planning, and cloud optimization.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud engineers, and data platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support throughout project lifecycles.
- Stay current with cloud trends, best practices, and tooling relevant to platform hosting and FinOps.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in information systems or information technology
- 5 - 7 years of IT experience, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and platform operations.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Technical Requirements:
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of: Cloud networking, VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute
- Identity and access management (IAM, RBAC, SSO)
- High availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices
- Experience supporting infrastructure hosting and operational needs of Data platforms, particularly in terms of infrastructure readiness, access control, and networking
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or CloudFormation.
- Familiar with DevOps and automation practices, including CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Practical knowledge of FinOps principles and tools to manage cloud costs and improve financial accountability.
- Relevant certifications are a plus:
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- FinOps Practitioner Certification (nice to have)
