Job description
We are currently looking for a data engineer specializing in Data Products to help us develop this expertise and position ourselves in the Montreal and international markets. This person will play a key role in growing and mentoring a pool of talented professionals, participating in sales opportunities, and driving growth.The Open Data Product Specification is an open standard that defines how to describe a data product in a structured and interoperable way, often using JSON or YAML.
The idea is the same as for standards such as OpenAPI for APIs:
a common vocabulary and structure are established so that data products are easily understandable and discoverable by humans and machines.
Responsibilities
- Acquire, store, model, and prepare data through the development of data pipelines, for example.
- Designing consistent execution of data flows (CI/CD concept);
- Designing an architecture based on Open Data Product Specification (ODSP)
- Training the technical team on the concept of Data Product and industry best practices
- Translating the company's Data Product vision into concrete implementation
Required
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry: Lean concepts, 6sigma Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Proficiency in various languages, programming tools, and enterprise solution technologies;
- Identify ways to improve reliability, platform efficiency, and maintain data quality (ACID concept);

Recruitment process

- 2nd: technical interview with 1 or 2 managers
