As a Project Manager, you are the single point of accountability for the projects you run. You own scope, timeline, budget, quality, risk and stakeholder relationships. Working one step back from daily execution, you combine financial judgement with technical grounding to communicate effectively with the tech teams, clients and stakeholders alike, turning roadmaps into actionable plans across an international, multicultural APAC portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
-
- Owning the delivery of assigned projects from start to finish, making sure scope, quality, timeline and budget commitments are met.
- Translating roadmaps into detailed project plans, milestones and actionable work packages.
- Tracking progress against plan, flagging deviations early, and driving corrective actions before they become issues.
- Monitoring effort consumed against effort forecast every week, and raising a recovery plan as soon as the forecast drifts beyond what was budgeted.
- Keeping risks visible and current, with the most serious ones escalating the same day they appear rather than waiting for the next review.
- Acting as the primary daily client contact, adapting communication to technical, business and executive audiences.
- Running client governance meetings, presenting an honest picture of progress, risks, decisions needed and financial health.
- Managing formal client validation of what has been delivered, keeping acceptance timelines moving and separating genuine defects from new requests.
- Asking for, and constructively challenging, status updates and reporting from the team to surface the real project health.
- Coordinating cross functional project teams, taking on direct line management responsibility on larger engagements.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of delivery practices, sharing lessons learned so that each project starts stronger than the last.
Qualifications :
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in project management, ideally within an IT or data consulting environment serving clients across APAC.
- Working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools (Iterative or Sequential).
- Comfort with project financials, including effort tracking, forecasting to completion and understanding how scope changes affect margin.
- Exposure to cloud and data technologies such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI or Tableau is a plus, not required.
- Excellent, audience adapted communication skills, equally comfortable with technical teams, business stakeholders and clients.
- Proven ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones, engaging diverse personalities and working styles across APAC.
- A proactive, ownership driven mindset, comfortable asking for and constructively challenging reporting to get to the real picture.
- Discipline with detail. You keep records of decisions, risks, changes and approvals current, and treat them as tools for control rather than paperwork.
- Strong critical thinking and a flexible, adaptable approach to shifting priorities and ambiguous situations.
- Fluency in English required. Additional languages such as French, Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa or Chinese are a strong plus given the multicultural APAC scope
