Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery Oversight
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple data and analytics projects in parallel, acting as the go-to technical authority internally and externally.
- Manage and coordinate the technical delivery team, including data engineers, BI developers, and analysts, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, delivery timelines, and client expectations.
- Own the end-to-end architecture definition and implementation: from data ingestion and transformation to storage, modeling, governance, and reporting.
- Supervise and validate all critical technical components and ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Implement and enforce best practices in architecture, development, documentation, DevOps, and cloud operations.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and technical challenges, and define mitigation plans in collaboration with project managers and clients.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to internal team members to elevate delivery standards and build long-term capabilities.
- Define and continuously improve the technical delivery framework, ensuring quality assurance, reusable components, and knowledge sharing across projects.
- Act as a liaison between delivery teams, business stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure architectural integrity and functional value of delivered solutions.
Pre-Sales & Client Advisory
- Lead the technical scoping of new opportunities, including defining the technical solution, scope, delivery approach, and technology stack.
- Participate in client workshops to capture needs, validate assumptions, and translate requirements into feasible architecture.
- Draft the technical sections of proposals, including effort estimates, assumptions, risks, and partner contributions.
- Collaborate with technology partners (e.g., Microsoft, Snowflake, others) to validate proposed architectures, get technical input when needed, and ensure alignment with best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical representatives from key technology partners, contributing to SBI’s partner credibility and co-selling efforts.
- Present proposed solutions to client stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, in a clear and confident manner.
Core Technology Stack
- Solid experience with modern data & analytics platforms, including:
- Microsoft: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI
- Snowflake: architecture design, performance optimization, security
- Familiarity with key components of modern data architecture, including:
- Data ingestion and transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Synapse Pipelines, Python, SQL)
- Data modeling, metadata management, governance, and security best practices
- DevOps for data, CI/CD pipelines, multi-environment setup
- Openness to broader technologies is essential: experience or exposure to other leading platforms such as AWS, GCP, Databricks, Informatica, Talend, or others is highly valued
Profile & Skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data/analytics projects, including 3+ years in a technical lead or architect role
- Proven experience managing technical delivery teams and leading architecture across complex, multi-stream projects
- Strong expertise in Azure, Snowflake, and enterprise BI environments
- Track record of successful collaboration with technology partners and client-facing solution design

- Based in Dubai, UAE
