About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake, strong SQL and Python skills, to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that power our analytics and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate combines solid data modelling fundamentals with practical scripting ability to automate ingestion and transformation logic across multiple source systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines feeding into Snowflake, ensuring reliability, scalability, and data quality.
  • Write advanced SQL for data modelling, stored procedures, views, and transformations that produce clean, reporting-ready data structures.
  • Develop Python scripts for custom data processing, ingestion logic, and pipeline automation.
  • Build and maintain ingestion pipelines using Dataiku, sourcing data from systems such as SharePoint, Salesforce, and SFTP into Snowflake.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing pipelines to ensure performance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical requirements into well-structured data models.
  • Apply data governance, documentation, and version control best practices across all pipeline development work.
  • Support the future migration of ingestion and orchestration workloads to Azure Data Factory (ADF) 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modelling (dimensional/relational), stored procedures and views, data transformations and performance tuning, and designing reporting-ready data structures.
  • Strong SQL skills (advanced querying, optimization, procedural SQL).
  • Strong Python scripting skills for data processing and ingestion logic.
  • Experience with Dataiku for building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines.
  • Proven experience integrating data from multiple source systems, including SharePoint, Salesforce, and SFTP.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade, end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline reliability, error handling, and monitoring practices.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) a strong advantage, as ingestion and orchestration workloads are planned to migrate to these platforms. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
  • Exposure to data governance and cataloguing tools.
